Artists and lodgers from the Washington State coastal town of Port Angeles have teamed together to offer a variety of intensive workshops. There are several two- to five-day workshops focusing on subjects such as: glass blowing, jewelry making, metal sculpting, ceramics and pottery, weaving, painting, bronze casting, light fixtures, photography, art welding and many more! The North Olympic Library System has a collaborative library/community art project with monthly opening events at both the Sequim and Port Angeles libraries. These Art in the Library receptions coincide with Sequim’s First Friday ArtWalk and Port Angeles’ Second Weekend Art Event. Both libraries will be open for artistic viewing “after hours,” from 5pm until 8pm. The work of several local artists are on display, and refreshments are served. The Sequim Branch Library is located at 630 N. Sequim Ave in Sequim. The Port Angeles Main Library is located at 2210 S. Peabody in Port Angeles. The House of Learning Art Gallery is a place to showcase artists from the region and beyond. The museum setting greets all visitors as they first enter the Longhouse. The House of Learning is a gathering place to teach, learn and share cultural traditions, knowledge, and identity. It is a place to acknowledge and respect our unique differences and diversity. |

The Bohemian Lounge is a subcultural center located in Port Angeles Washington, on the Olympic Peninsula. Several groups meet in this space. Among them the Unitarian/Pantheological Society, the LGBTQS conglomeration of Port Angeles and the monthly Velvet Revolution. The Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1932 to provide performers and the public of the North Olympic Peninsula an opportunity to enjoy, participate in, and grow through the enriching experience of quality, live music. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, the Orchestra began with a few fiddlers and horn players performing light opera and Sousa marches in each other’s homes and has become today’s award-winning orchestra consisting of ±80 volunteer musicians.
